i feel like, with this book more than any other, matching up character povs to their chapters could be ginormous spoilers, so i'm not going to do that.


but here's a list and the # of chapters their PoVs are in. keep in mind they might have only a 3 paragraph PoV or it might take up the entire chapter. and i'm not counting the prologue.

A while back, someone said that a prominent character was left out of this book, is it safe to say then that character is Elayne? Or it could be Lan although the only time we have had a point of view from him is in New Spring so just because he doesn't have a PoV, it doesn't mean he isn't in the book.


Rand and Egwene are probably my least favorite main characters. Elayne is my favorite. I don't like dark things. My guess is that I will still like the book, but... sigh. I had some hope when someone who had read the book mentioned that that the missing character was the least of the main characters and that some people might not consider this person to be a main character.

Elayne has a lot of boring work consolidating a nation and maybe working on Cairhien. My guess is, though, that any Elayne PoV could not be any more boring then Perrin's PoV.
