Especially since they were specifically designed to resemble jewelry and items that women would wear. But I don't recall this ever being said outright.
On that note, I always wondered why the ter'angreal were never designed in more basic forms that could be layered or concealed more easily. Buttons on a coat, cufflinks, necklaces, slender finger rings and etc. I suppose unless they are designed as a set, there would be negative interactions among their effects.
