ok since no one is discussing much wot trivia yet I thought I'd give it a go... flame away when I'm done as I'm only killing time in work and have put practically no thought into this
reading some old theories on wotmania b4 it shuts its door I came across one on young randal and his many mental friends (LLT and zie other) the discussion that followed was about spilling of his blood on the rocks etc. now we have the following from Nicola
Nicola's foretelling:
"The lion sword, the dedicated spear, she who sees beyond. Three on the boat, and he who is dead yet lives. The great battle done, but the world not done with battle. The land divided by the return, and the guardians balance the servants. The future teeters on the edge of a blade."
I'm interested in the last bit: "The future teeters on the edge of a blade." I'm gona take that literally and say Fain and his dagger's role in the Last Battle will be that of a diversion to the Dark One giving Rand/LTT time to land the killing blow (obviously Jordan/Sanderson will put it better
more specifically I think Fain in his very Gollum ways will stab Rand once again in his wounded side during the Last battle with his SL dagger thus spilling Rand's blood,(every1 knows the prophecy so I aint quoting it -- blood on rocks etc), which has been a state of conflict between the two evils until this point, and allow the SL evil to win (the conflict) in the simplest terms by having the added advantage of more evil (dagger+Fain). this will in turn go on to do something weird to DO and distract him if nothing else for a vital moment and allow the good guys win.
they might all die in the process who knows. I just thought I'd post something as I'm rereading the series and nearly finished KOD and want to start using this site
any thoughts? if its been said b4 thats ok too
