hmm... what a great question
e. Galgan (I include my estimate for percent chance of others)

I usually don't like answering my own quick surveys; I would rather listen to what others say. This one was too irresistible, though.
a. Rand
No! Rand will be to busy with other stuff. He is too much of an analogy with FDR to be the equivalent to Eisenhower.
b. Mat
5 % chance: Tactics are best left to field generals not to the overall commander. His connection to the Empress may give him enough clout.
c. Perrin
15 % chance: Diplomatic skills and an ability to come up with an innovative large scale battle plan makes Perrin a logical choice as does his connections to the dragon reborn and his cooperation with the Seancen.
d. Bashere
15% Chance. He has negotiated with the Seanchen and his the requisite skills. The something dark that Min sees hurts his chances, though.
e. Galgan
30% Chance. The Seanchen will want one of their own in control. Chances are he knows his stuff and will be accepted by everybody.
f. Tylee
2% Chance. A darkhorse, but she is willing to work with the other side and something could happen to Galgan.
g. Logain
20% Chance. Min sees great glory in his future.
h. Rotation of great generals
0% Chance. It didn't work for the Aiel war.
i. Itulralde
2% another Dark horse
j. none
0% Someone will have to take some control even if it is for only a short time.
k. other
11% I forgot about Rhuarc and the other great general (the one in Shienar)

You assume there will only be two armies: A vs. B. I think there will never be just two armies

Mat's skills are better used by him being a field-general I think.

What if Mat invent new non-channeling weapons instead of leading armie?

None. There will be several battles and the light will have a different leader in each battle. *NM*
