I have been much more of a lurker than a poster, but I have enjoyed this site. Gonna miss being able to find new, or different perspectives. I have read the series at least 7 times, except MOL. Sadly it just bored me to death. I will stick around till the bitter end, but I and going to miss everyone.

I honestly have no idea how many re-reads I've done over the years, I started reading the series right when it first came out, I can't believe it's been 25+ years since EoTW! I used to get so excited whenever a new book was coming out and had to rush to the book store to buy them in hard cover, even when I couldn't really afford to do that I would quickly devour the latest installment then go back and re-read the whole series from start to finish! But after RJ's passing I stopped doing that so I've only read the Sanderson books once each. I am curious to see how I react to them on the heels of a fresh re-read of the whole series!

Linda's blog site The Thirteenth Depository is a good place to read about the series too ... she's very thorough in her posts and has (with some contributors from here and other places) built out some really interesting posts about most of the main characters and hits a lot on RJs inspirations for certain cultures, the Forsaken etc.... she gets into the clothing styles a little bit too ... she does a lot of interesting pieces on the overall world building RJ invested so much time into. I think she's written nearly as much about WoT as RJ did!

Domani Drag Queen in the White Tower ... Aran'gar watch out!

I can't say for sure, but I think it might have been a little deliberate or at least subconscious. - 05/11/2016 09:03:19 PM 1221 Views
