Master Elyas, if there really are Tinkers close by, shouldn't we go on, we don't want Bela stolen, and... well we do not have much else, but everyone knows Tinkers will steal anything!"

EDIT Ugh, and then not 10 minutes later, she meets a hot dude and she's all smiles and how-great-you-are.
Or ever ever get any word of it, as no one ever really talks to Tarren Ferry folk... Meh, probably just one of those "so they say" kind of things.
Anyway, Tinkers aren't a race. They are in fact the least "race" of any WoT culture. They're culture was founded by Aiel break offs, but it's iffy if any of the blood whatsoever remains after three thousand plus years of taking in outsiders.
