If we weren't supposed to expect much from Moiraine, why the silly storyline and countless wasted pages on saving her? She really did nothing after returning.

I will reread some of the Nynaeve passages, maybe it was how it was written, but her roles was just so boring. She was just there. At least Lam got to take out Demandred. Which was another character much speculated about whose role in the LB was rather meh.
