This is pretty much how I felt about it, including the thought that the story would have been better if he hadn't changed it, though I can understand why he did. I don't have to tell you how difficult it was to keep this secret for so long. I think I would have had an easier time keeping the ending secret than this.

It implies something extraordinary though, about Demandred.

It means Demandred actually had the guts to lie to the Dark One's face, back in the Prologue of LoC, when he denied knowing what happened to Asmodean.
