oh right back to egwene in the white tower, by this point most of the aes sedai probably have realized egwenes serious faults of ego and are speaking with her to test her to figure out where she belongs in the ajahs , i would say its more ikely they have fake problems and scenarious to test her and lead her to the ajah she belongs to so to fix her ego with being amyrlin by making her admit to joining an ajah and finally becoming aes sedai there by unduoing the halls of the rebel ajahs claims

just a quick snap decision of what could have motivated their decisions of how to talk to her, i always figured it was more of a gentle probing and delegate conversation to figure her out and guide her along a path rather then to deny her or to try to praise her or anything it was simple elegantly applied delicate leading/guiding of her due to her serious faults
