Remember Egwene and Elayne's fear when Rand channels at everything in his room, in tDR? I feel like some of the fear of male channelers is how separate they are from females, and allowing them both to see both would lessen that. It also makes something like Halima hard to do.
We see that through Egwene's eyes. And a big part of her fear is actually that tainted saidin is touching her.
How do you work that scene on TV anyway. Do we, as viewers, see it through Egwene's eyes, and thus not see the weaves, and guess what Rand is doing? If we see if from a general perspective, or via Rand's we're going to see the weaves anyway.
Halima would be harder, except there's a solution right in the books: people can hide their weaves.
Ummm... Egwene couldn't see anyone channeling in the first book. Only in book 2 does she see the glow around Elayne, remember?
