Lets' try revive the board a little eh?
As some of you may know, RJ's notes are now publicly viewable at the Charleston Library. Terez, of the Theoryland database fame, appropriately dug into this trove of information, and has been dribbling out minor tidbits.
Given one of the major obsessions of this board used to be the OP strength list, I'm happy to report there's extensive notes on that, and we'll probably see some form of the strength list show up in the WoT encyclopedia Harriet is compiling (due out next year most likely).
Other than that, though, there are some major shockers:
1) There was a time when RJ actually wanted to place Cadsuane higher than Egwene/Elayne/Aviendha at full potential. He changed his mind, probably because he was reminded that the Aes Sedai clearly say Elayne was the strongest woman to have come to the Tower in a thousand years.
2) Cadsuane is very close in strength to those three, however.
3) Biggest shocker: That 21 level list? It was all Aes Sedai only, and Elaida/Siuan/Moiraine topped that list (level 1). Stronger women (including Cadsuane) were marked with +x from that list.
4) The Aes Sedai list, however, was later expanded to a 33 level list. Daigian was level 33, and Elaida level 1 in this new Aes Sedai list.
5) The complete strength list has around 66 levels (maybe a little more). Moiraine after time with the Finns is about level 66. In this new list, Elaida is at level 13, Daigian at level 45, and all women stronger than Elaida occupy levels 1-12.
6) Nynaeve is indeed high up in the list. Lanfear is level 1. No confirmation, but Sharina might indeed be the same level.
7) From hints Terez has given, Alivia is not Lanfear level.
Brandon was most likely wrong about Mesaana being a much weaker Foresaken.
9) There doesn't seem to be any actually strength values for these levels, unfortunately.
10) A juicy tidbit: an "old school" Aes Sedai, who is also old, never reached her full potential. No clue who this is, but it can be worked out apparently.
Discuss!
