We have several Prophecies mentioning a sword namely: "the future teeters on the edge of a blade" from Nicola's Foretelling, "all that will be shall balance on the point of a sword, while the winds of the Shadow grow" from the Prophecies of the Dragon, "Bair and Amys dreamed of you cutting the wetlands in two with a sword", "let the arm of the Lord of the Dawn shelter us from the Dark and the great sword of justice defend us" from the 4th Age, and finally the Seanchan woman with a sword from Egwene's Dream.
At least some of these Prophecies could indicate the importance of Justice during the negotiations with the Seanchan.
In this context it's also interesting to note that Min saw in a Viewing that Darlin will wear a crown that is "a simple golden circlet with a slightly curved sword lying on its side". Rand's new sword is described as being slightly curved, too.
