The Mat/Rand scene was a touch awkward and out of character but it was still amusing. Perrin/Slayer should have been dealt with and concluded in ToM IMHO but wasn't too bad. Sakarnen's description wasn't even something I noticed. I wasn't impressed with Rand's DO confrontation but then those sort of ultimate battles of will and philosophy rarely can live up to expectation. It avoided any of the pitfalls that tend to totally ruin those sorts of events in most books that have them. It didn't feel cheezy and wasn't laden with smug pontifications of the author's personal philosophy.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
