Good analysis of AOL. I would like to add that another example of how the AOL wasn't the utopia that it seemed was the pervasive use of chora trees. The effects of the chora tree sound similar to the effects of smoking marijuana*. An effective way to keep everyone peaceful perhaps but a drug-induced utopia is quite similar to Rand's Utopia.
*I don't mean this to be an anti-marijuana post. I have never smoked marijuana but smoking it recreationally is very different from filling the city's air supply with it in such a way that everyone who is out walking is feeling the affect of it.
