Can a normal Aes Sedai really split her flows three ways and simultaneously shield two full Ashaman?

In Brandon's view she can, but this is not at all the impression that RJ has conveyed up to now.

This is tricky. Splitting flows requires skill, and would also diminish your strength accordingly with each split. If the Ashaman were holding saidin, then absolutely no way could she shield them both.

Was Egwene's death clearly described by RJ, or did Brandon make up the manner of her death, being told simply that she dies heroically in the Last Battle?

I believe that Egwene's death scene was laid down by RJ back at the beginning of the series. As many have speculated, it's very likely she was the reincarnation of Eldrene ay Ellan ay Carlan, former Queen of Manetheren, who drew too much of the OP after her husband/Warder/King Aemon died in the fall of Manetheren. Egwene's downfall mimics hers to a tee and brings that arc full-circle, IMO.

I guess the question is, can we take ANYTHING in AMOL as canon according to RJ, or is everything suspect due to Brandon's faulty understanding of RJ's views?

According to Sanderson, the ending is all RJ, written before his death.

One thing that I found annoying was tired AS. I don't think we've seen so many excuses for AS that were exhausted from channeling since RJ went overboard describing Moiraine in tEotW.
