That's part of the Branfiction. Shannow Send a noteboard - 01/02/2013 02:39:01 PM
I'm not responding to the Power stuff... Its obvious to any WoT reader that it was portrayed pathetically and that no rules applied to Brandon when he wrote the book. The fact that Graendal can fight Aviendha, Cadsuane, Alivia, Talaan and Amys at the same time unaided is all that needs to be said. Luckily this is the last book or she would have fought the whole White Tower in the next one. And lets not forget that Rand deflected a shield woven by a circle of thirteen.... Etc...

Demandred thought that Lan was so skilled that he might be Asmodean reborn. Asmodean is thus a skilled swordsman.

That's part of MY argument. That is part of the farce that is the Branfiction. That reference was probably the biggest red flag to me that Brandon simply made all the male Forsaken into Dark Jedi equivalents.

When Asmodean's Power abilities are reduced to Sorilea level he still doesn't even think of defending himself with a sword, even during a Shadowspawn attack.

Brandon made that up.

So how much of AMOL was real - i.e. RJ's intention, as opposed to Branfiction? - 01/02/2013 01:48:16 PM 2486 Views
