Luc = Perring = stopping Graendal and Lanfear. no DO = "turned" Elayne = no "choice" = no will

Most of Perrin's role in the Last Battle was protecting Rand from the Shadow If he wasn't hunting Slayer he wouldn't have done that. He wouldn't have been able to be manipulated by Lanfear to take the device to SG that was protecting Rand from all incursions
Also while I certainly didn't expect the DO to be destroyed it never occurred to me that it would be because of Rand's choice. As a choice however it is in keeping with our real world explanation of "God's" toleration of evil. Free will requires that evil be available to be chosen. According to Rand's vision even outside of the Pattern the DO is the source of evil. If the DO was completely destroyed there would be no choice. All decisions would be "good" and would therefore be meaningless

Not everyone hated Egwene and her death creates some serious issues for the Tower

Wasn't Egwene exactly like that, too? *NM*

No. Egwene never once treats Nynaeve and Elayne as though they were not AS

True, but I meant that she was AS to the core *NM*

She was a reformist Amyrlin. Cadsuane may also be, she is unconventional

Well, shit, isn't that just more realistic?

Yes yes ... But this is supposed to be a FANTASY ... Not real life *NM*

But good fantasy has an element of realism, or else you can't suspend your disbelief.
