Who exactly knew who Moridin was? A lot of shadowspawn and darkfriends knew but they are either all dead or on the run.
Except Perrin is talking to Flynn about him, and it sounds like Perrin already knows who he is before Flynn outright says he doesn't know why Rand would be carrying 'one of the Forsaken'. So, not a big secret at that point. Considering the casual delivery, it doesn't appear to be a state secret, especially considering that if Nyneave or Moraine wanted it hushed up, they needn't tell Flynn and wouldn't have. We thus know that an absolute minimum Perrin, Nyneave, Moraine, and Flynn knew, besides the 3+Cadsuane who knew Rand lived. Perrin and Flynn and Moraine not being trusting souls, I really can't see them taking the disappearance of Moridin casually. LAter after flynn, you've got Loial peeking in on Rand/Moridin while Nyneave is talking about how it is unfair Rand is getting worse while the other gets better with Flynn and Lan, nobody explicitly says Forsaken there but considering Flynn had already mentioned it to Perrin and nobody there reacts to Nyneave complaining about someone else getting better I think it is fair to say the circle of definite-knows isn't just Flynn, Nyneave, Cadsuane, Moraine, and Perrin but the gals but also Lan and Loial, and none of these people act like its a secret. That would really just leave Thom, Tam, and Mat as close survivors of Rands who didn't know about Moridin for sure.
They are not going to be stopping to tell anyone. Aside from that the only others who know are Nynaeve & Moiraine and Nynaeve already suspected something was up and we don't really know what Moiraine knew but she has shown she never ever gives out information unless she has to.
As pointed out, more knew, and Moraine might like her secrets but it is a huge jump to assume she'd decide for no apparent reason not to alert some people if Moridin was suspected to have escaped. She might go to Cadsuane, but only being clued in about Rand would prevent her going further.
I could see some in the inner circle of the light knowing but with Elayne as Commander in Chief with Aviendha backing her up Moridin could be marked as just another injured man, given the scale of the battle there were plenty of those around.
Again, they knew he was a Forsaken.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

That was my interpretation as well. I think it was an attempt at showing Rand's humility. *NM*

Even if she would just have been burned out there was no reason to think it permanent.

One point- the DO didn't break free, Rand dragged him out into the Pattern, specifically to kill him
