It just felt like they needed 3 more books to finish it up darius_sedai Send a noteboard - 14/01/2013 03:58:57 AM
To me AMOL just felt rushed. I think Sanderson was trying very hard to wrap up the plot lines and the overall book just ended up rushing us through it. Case in point was Rand getting Tuon to sign his treaty in about half a page of text. Or the big Demandred reveal. I was happy to see he wasn't Roedran, but the dribbles we got of how and what he did to accomplish his task felt unfinished.

I agree that there are some points that were unsatisfying and inconsistent, but I can live with plots being resolved in ways I don't like. I just can't stand having half assed scenes with 3 sentences and then a jump to something else.

Egwene:

"I'm winning!"

Demandred:

"I've been hanging with the Sharans, ambush!"

Egwene:

"Crap, I'm not winning"

On another note I hate the Sharan thing because Graendal already told us stuff about the Sh'botan and Sh'botai that now seems to be totally wrong and shows that she also completely missed Demandred being there despite being right about everyone else. Feels forced.
Domani Drag Queen in the White Tower ... Aran'gar watch out!
