Not do it maybe, but sort of guided Rand.
I think it was done the same way he lit his pipe at the end, but I'm not decided whether he did it, or Nakomi has the same powers.

So you think Nakomi might be a similarly transcendent channeler from another age? Could becoming as attuned to the Pattern as Rand became make one essentially immortal? Is Rand now a god? The way Nakomi acted with Aviendha was indeed similar to the pipe. She just kind of made a fire, created food, made Aviendha sleep, and then disappeared. I would say that this was more similar to what we know of dreamshards, except that I don't think Aviendha could have filled up on dream food, nor would there be any evidence of the meeting in the morning (as I think there was IIRC). Was this more like the unexplained melding of reality on his journey to Tear that Rand asks Moridin about?
We know that channeling is something of the soul, and that even if there is a specific physiological component that Moridin's body was able to channel. Of course, he or Rand might have been burned out by the sealing, but I doubt it. So Rand being unable to channel after closing the Bore would suggest that his soul was somehow altered, perhaps by channeling so much of saidin, saidar, and the True Power. Or perhaps having something to do with his experience inside the Bore, weaving the Pattern.
Rand's first boost was related to his epiphany with the Choedan Khal. After that he was able to channel tremendously more effectively than before, but was this a matter of accessing LTT's memories, or something else? He also seemed able to specifically guide his ta'veren effects. Although, I think we get a clue from Mat that this too may have been a trick from LTT, when he realizes that Rand is singing or humming some tune to make the Tarasin Palace bloom. Was he acting like the Nym? Weaving his song with the Pattern to amplify life and creation?
So, is anyone else thinking that ending was a bit of a dick move....
