I loved some moments, disliked only a couple but thought the majority was passable if not what it could have been. I didnt mind the writing- Jordan's strengths were never as a writer anyway in my view and the ideas on show and the characters were just as interesting, though occasionally characters felt a bit off. I love some characters enough to enjoy almost anything about them. The Shadow were better written in this book. The ending had some great aspects but still managed to disappoint a little. Overall the good (or enjoyable) outweighed the bad and I still found a thrill every so often. The biggest flaw, seen in the last 2 books too, was the pacing of the series as a whole- it felt rushed but it had to because books 7 onwards had such a slow pace. I love detail in WoT but it went too far and those who think RJ could have written this book in as many pages but with more detail and less rushed have forgotten how little happened in the middle of the series
