Several years ago I found a small bookstore that was about an hour from my home that would call me as soon as they received the new book and I could go pick it up. This would sometimes be 2 weeks early but usually 1 week early. This time around they told me up front that they wouldn't be able to release it to me until the 7th.
Why this year? Why now? Oh well.. I find I have more patience as I'm getting older. Not TOO much of a bummer I guess.
