I mean, I can definitely accept that the Wheel wanted to get rid of False Dragons.

But, all other ta'veren events we've seen have been "improbable, but possible" events. You know, Aes Sedai kneeling, people falling down stairs and not being hurt, blades happening to fall in the symbol of the ancient Aes Sedai. Mat doesn't magically gain the ability to turn lead into gold, he just becomes lucky.

There is no possible quirk of chance that would make a sword battle suddenly take place in the sky, with each side of the battle below tied to how good their "champion" is doing.
