Regarding the Foresaken meeting where they're worried about him... what makes you think someone of, say, Egwene's strength with LTT's memories popping up randomly is NOT a danger?
Remember that Demandred apparently would launch himself at Rand only if he had a sa'angreal. I think when you reach the upper skill levels the Foresaken are at, you need significant strength gaps to ensure success. Anything less, and there's too much chance the battle can go either way, which is why they're worried about Rand. The Foresaken need certainty of victory while fighting against him, they're not ready to face him otherwise.

I've been saying forever that skill is far more important with these measures ... Unless there is a significant strength difference. Hard to say with Egwene level. To me someone at her level would need to be supremely skilled to have any shot of survival against the Forsaken strength and skill combination. I think the weakest effective level Rand could be is Moghedien for the Forsaken to worry about him (if they assume he has all of LTTs skill). Given some of Rands recent pondering a about AoL AS there were clearly individuals with a good deal more skill than he possessed ... He seems rather reverent when remembering the dude who made Ter'angreal ... Perhaps someone of that skill level and Egwene effective strength would stand a chance. PERHAPS.
