Moridin would also know that you rarely get out of there alive
Not true if you follow the rules and know all of them and the nature of the treaties (which the Finns conveniently don't tell you...they remind you of your duties but say nothing of your rights!). As long as Moridin entered through the Tear Doorway, he was safe. Much safer given his knowledge than Rand and co., the AS and all the rulers of Mayene who entered that Doorway in the past.
It's likely the people in the AOL never used these people once they realized how cunning and deceptive they were.
They probably didn't deal with them for frivolous things, but the Doorways were not destroyed, and treaties were in place...
Moridin would not enter Sindhol lightly, unless he was prepared, especially with their attitude towards the Shadow.
Actually, that "attitude toward the Shadow" is something we have to reconsider after TOM given that they dealt with two Forsaken.
The Aelfinn punish questions touching on Shai'tan, and they punish "foolish questions", a foolish question for one person may not be foolish for someone else. It's fairly obvious they can't answer questions not connected to your life thread, or too frivolous to be inscribed in the future. Most questions about Shai'tan they can't answer, for the good reason Shai'tan isn't part of the Pattern. Some things about Shai'tan are predictable, most are not.
And that's as far as we go, except RJ told us under their physical laws naming the DO in Sindhol would have far worse effects than in the human world. It suggests under Sindhol's physical law Shai'tan's powers are different, and worse effects.
That's all we have, we no nothing on their views about the Shadow, even less about their views of its servants. They bargained with Lanfear and Moridin...
I'm saying they were cut off from the Power somehow. To me it seems like they put them in that draining mist
So ok, now they know how to make devices to block channelers? Or you think it's more believable the Aes Sedai of the AOL would have provided Sindhol with a whole set of technology meant to protect against, shield and otherwise neutralize channelers?
Channelling isn't the only way to produce "magic" in the WOT multiverse, but it's very likely the OP remains the only source of energy any magic use. It's based on patterns (webs, weaves) controlled mentally in humans, but Songs are also patterns, and the symbols and shapes used in Sindhol are also patterns, and for that matter, matrixed in ter'angreal too.
Lanfear doesn't kill unless she must. She had a far bigger problem than Moiraine, and it was getting herself out of there now the only safe and garanteed exit was destroyed. It wouldn't have been wise to kill Moiraine until she was sure she couldn't use her to bargain her way out of there.
My guess is one of the two managed to shield and bind with air the other, than waited for the arrival of the Eelfinn.
Unless the whole dimension doesn't respond to the Power, which is even more unlikely.
Unlikely the rules of interactions are different in a world with radically different rules, like the other similar "other world" bits we know of, the Ogier stedding, block the OP to channelers, but Ogier can still Sing in it?
We know the OP has rules in the human world, obeys some of its physical physical laws.
It seems logical that in another world which RJ described as having "a radically different set of physical laws" the OP doesn't interact with the world in every respect the same way it does in the human world, and weaves working one way in the human world might have totally unpredictable results in Sindhol, and even in the AOL the channelers wouldn't have had the opportunity to study those laws. Rand may have been very lucky to have used pure Fire in Sindhol.
I'll be very surprised if they are immune to the OP - Mat killed them easily with physical means, and the gholam is immune to that too.
RJ gave us a good clue (repeated twice, about a gholam acting like Mordeth's ghost did) that gholam are part-ghost part-alive, and like "walking dead" in our legends, they feed on blood (which incidentally at least one of the two other "disembodied" creatures we know of, Machin Shin, also did. I never claimed they're "pure" Finns, and it's mostly with Myrddraal I see strong connections anyway.
Indeed, but how would he capture them if they're immune to the Power?
When they're not excited, music puts them to sleep and iron binds them. Even if direct weaves don't touch them, or most weaves do not work as they do in the human world because of different physics and channelers are pretty halpless there, it doesn't mean the Finns are invicible.
But Aginor didn't even have to capture one, there are dozens of way he could have bargained for Eelfinn and Aelfinn DNA.
We can't be sure AOLers knew about the Eelfinn appearing and disappearing in shadows, by the way. They only they did it was in pursuit of Mat. In the days of Aginor it might have been a very, very long time since anyone broke the treaties with the Finns.
I figure I have one last chance to get out my underlying assumption on the series
