True ... He may not be perfect, and he certainly made some strange choices darius_sedai Send a noteboard - 29/09/2012 05:37:29 PM

I think Brandon had a huge task ahead of him when Harriet picked him. I'm very very VERY glad that I was not given such a difficult task.

It's a bit unfair to say he piggybacked on RJ's success... it's not his fault RJ died. Better this failed attempt I guess, than to see the series incomplete and we're left wondering forever how it ends.

like the strange timelines etc... But the story is getting told and despite the inconsistencies and style issues we should all try and remember that he is completing the work of someone who put 20 years into the story and had written large chunks of the work he is wrapping up. It can't be easy to write around another authors incomplete sections of chapters while trying to decipher notes about the rest and trying to fill in the gaps left open.

With that said I don't love the writing style of Sanderson as I feel it doesn't flow with RJ the way I would like, and it leaves me scratching my head from time to time. Like the latest Moghedien POV.

And I find it frustrating that Bsand isn't as familiar with so many things in the story. I see it as part of his job to know the details of the work, but time and again he shows he does not.
