Yes. The last time it happened to me it ended with the taxi driver fined by the NYPD.

Before they put in card swipers in the cabs, my wife and I got into a cab and she thought she had cash but it turned out she didn't. Two blocks after getting in, I said we needed to stop at an ATM, something that almost everyone did on a regular basis.
"That's no good, my friend," the guy says. He then goes on and on about how we need cash "my friend".
I said, "Well, we need to stop at an ATM and get cash or you need to kick us out. And I'm obviously not your friend based on what you're saying to me."
So he kicked us out, and then followed us down 9th Avenue yelling at us. I believe I said something to him back about returning to "that shithole of Pakistan", but then he saw two cops and ran over and said we left without paying.
When we told the story, they said, "You kicked them out of the cab. You have no right to demand payment. And did you record it?"
No, he didn't. The police let us go and started writing him up a nice fat ticket.
The NYPD is great.

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

If you have to call someone "my friend" three times in a couple of minutes, he isn't.

Sanderson's handling of character interractions is pathetic....

Now see, here I don't fully agree, or at least think it's a matter of taste.

To be fair, the last Moghedian PoV by RJ might have changed her a bit.
