I have placed dozens of pre-orders with them. They always say "we will ship it earlier if we can" and then when they can (which happens every now and then), I just get an automated e-mail saying, "This item will be available sooner than expected! We are happy to announce that your order of [Boardwalk Empire/Complete Works of the Marquis de Sade/Gummy Vitamins] will be shipped to you on Friday, September 28."

Amazon has zero legal issues with that policy in place. Zero.
