One, of course, that we'll be getting the final Wheel of Time book soon. It was the first fantasy series I ever read, picked up out of sheer accidental curiosity when I was 15 years old. I'll be 29 when the last book comes out. I'm looking forward to it, and also, despite the series' flaws, am looking forward to picking the whole thing up and re-reading it all someday.
And two, I'm happy because it means that Sanderson will be returning to his own writing universe. He may not be the most technically spectacular writer out there (his prose is pretty straightforward), but he's one of my favourite storytellers and he's at his best with his own creations, working with his own rules and his own magic systems. He writes spectacularly cinematic action scenes and worlds that fascinate me. As excited as I am for the final Wheel of Time book, I'm even more excited for the rest of The Stormlight Archive, not to mention a sequel to the wonderful Alloy of Law.
Jordan is the author who got me started in truly wanting to tell stories of my own. Sanderson is one of a handful of modern authors (Neil Gaiman, China Mieville, and Scott Lynch are three others) who continue to inspire me to keep imagining.
