I'm re-reading the series, and have a question about the final scene in aCoS.

A quick recap first. In LoC, Rand and some Aiel go to Shadar Logoth to seal the Waygate. Whilst there, the maiden Liah goes missing, and is presumed dead. However, at the end of aCoS, when Rand is hunting Sammael (and vice versa) in Shadar Logoth, Liah reappears (before dying).

My question is, given the attitude Aiel hold towards cities, and given that it is Shadar Logoth, why do you think Liah stayed in the city rather than leaving as quickly as humanly possible?
