I doubt she knew that severing caused you to be released from the Oaths. Otherwise, forget the Healing, she would simply have waited till she could be sure Egwene could link with some women, told them she was Black Ajah, had them still her, and then spilled all. This way, she ends up alive with a future chance for Healing.

Except for the whole "due punishment for joining the Black Ajah" bit. By getting herself released from the Oaths for a spurious reason, she can conceal the first-hand nature of her information and keep on surviving. Also, there's no guarantee that her recipients of her confession might not decide to be practical for once and whack her on the spot, so the specific way she went about confessing was probably a safer bit. Either way, she is, should be, getting dead. Her own way just guarantees the information gets out.

But she could have survived and passed on more information had she done it my way.

Yes, but wither case assumes she knows the Oaths can be broken by Stilling. We can be fairly certain she didn't, because however moronic the Aes Sedai around her were with things that were "taboo", Verin never was. The Black Ajah, tel'aran'rhiod, men channeling around her, compuslion... all the things that should make the stereotypical Aes Sedai puke were things she studied with no qualms. I think the best proof that she didn't know is in the fact that she didn't use the knowledge.
Based on Verin's work with Irgaine, Sashalle and Ronaille, I don't think she knew they were Oath free. She did ask to meet with them, and nothing suggests she figured out their Oaths were no longer valid.

But at least one of them found out, so you can't say that's not a possible source of the information.
Verin worked with them before they were Healed. They decided to swear to Rand the moment they were Healed, so Verin didn't get them to do it after Flinn cured them.
