There's a choking point here - Edit 1

You have to remember that channeling is akin to drug addiction, and many addicts prefer death to quitting. The bias is so strong that the thought may well never even occur to a channeler. Also I agree that being freed of the oaths by stilling is not known. All the Rebel assume that Suan & Leanne are still bound, even the Black Ajah

It might be a plausible attitude, but it is no less contemptible. As far as the assumption that they are still bound, you'd think Verin would have tested them in some way. The common Aes Sedai or political animal might be forgiven her assumptions, but not someone who is supposed to be a top notch analyst & scientific brain.

As far as we know, only Flinn has the OP capabilities to perform perfect stilling healing. We never heard of any other Ashaman who learned these advanced healing techniques.

Of the Aes Sedai, there seemed to be a few who can replicate Nynaeve's feat of imperfect stilling-healing, say 3-4.

If Flinn chokes tomorrow on a chicken bone or dies from a trolloc spear, Verin will never regain her full strength. Considering the power change in Siuan, she'll be a very insignificant Aes Sedai according to their ranking system.

If Flinn is busy defending the blight or healing the critically wounded, Verin either has to wait until Flinn is available before she can get her next fix or crumble to her craving and get imperfect healing from the female healers, thereby assuring a much meager supply for the rest of her life.

If the Shadow is effective (and intelligent) for once and kills all the high ranking healers of the light, Verin is doomed unless she can find a darkfriend healer willing and able to heal her.

Either way, not very good alternatives.
