We all know Cadsuane is good at reading/manipulating people, and using them as tools to make her plans happen. I belive one of her Ter'Angreal vibrates when someone wishs her harm. It always bothered me that Cadsuane stated her plan for Rand then said something like "It seems I'm in a confinding mood" The tactic of opening up before someone is odd but perhaps when Verin discided that Cadsuane didn't mean Rand harm her Ter'angeal went silent. Cadsuane is always carefull of what she does...

She possibly was thinking "keep your friends close and your enemys closer and those you are unsure about,scrutinze". Cadsuane was upset when Verin left the party when Rand was recovering from the cleansing.
