How, exactly, is this helping things in any way? Let us kill off the Aiel today so most of them won't die tomorrow?
True, this means they won't take the rest of the Wetlands with them, but I really fail to see how this makes sense as option number one.
Aviendha's job, as Wise One, is clearly to tackle exactly those limitations that you mentioned in your other post. Her (somewhat) extensive time with the Wetlands, and Egwene's extensive time with the Aiel are key to this, I think. That's where the books are pointing, anyway.
