I think you missed the point he made... LadyLorraine Send a noteboard - 10/12/2011 04:33:40 PM
About it being a fantasy world and arguing the semantics of physics mechanics is ridiculous. Additionally, how do you KNOW that gravity works the same way in the skimming place? How do you know that gravity works the same way in whatever world/dimension that WoT takes place? You don't and you can't. For the former, we have no correlation in our world to the skimming place. Unless, of course, you are aware of projects going on to cut across dimensions in order to travel. Which would be awesome and I'd hope you would share that with us. For the latter, yes, gravity has functioned as we know it on other worlds to the best we can tell, but that still doesn't account for how gravity would function in other universes (eg. parallel universe) that Randland could be functioning in. But the most important part of all of this is that it's FICTION and bitching about the physic mechanics is like whining about comic book chemistry. It just makes you look like a self-important idiot who wants to look smart.

Get the physics stick out of your ass and just enjoy
