Her omission is glaring, as it is meant to be to add to the whole idea of an Egwene-Rand conflict that has been built up (shoddily and inconsistently) in the previous two books. If you read their statements and PoVs on each other in ToM, its pretty clear they either keep changing their minds, or Sanderson felt the need, every now and then, do unsubtly remind us that they were in disagreement, to build up "tension" that was completely lost in the book split.
