Falling in that skimming place... Iceman Send a noteboard - 24/11/2011 06:27:49 PM
From my reread I wondered about why people fall in that "skimming zone", one Aiel did in book 5 when Rand took a few thousand to take out Ravhin and then the Gohlam was taken out in the same manner... as I recall.

Without gravity there should be no force to make someone "fall" right? more over without any perception of up, down or around about then no one would know they are falling unless they felt a gravitational pull... which would suggest they are being pulled to something... which they would eventually hit?

I suppose it could be down to the individuals preconceptions of the physics of the "zone"... they think they would fall so they inevitably do... In that case if someone had thought about it logically would they be able to overcome the falling? Is the "ground" used really necessary?

Any thoughts?

I don't think it's an illusion - the Aiel & the gholam both went DOWN - 26/11/2011 09:33:40 PM 912 Views

Alternative theory - maybe they don't fall. Maybe the platform rises away from them. - 26/11/2011 09:39:37 PM 784 Views
Good idea, but unlikely. - 27/11/2011 02:20:24 AM 749 Views
