And that is why he has standards.
Fantasy is not just popcorn entertainment. fantasy can have substantial depth and development. I'm sorry if all you've read is Twilight, Eragon and Harry Potter to give you the impression that it's not supposed to.
Fantasy is a story, any story, with fantastical elements such as magic, dragons, or the supernatural. It's usually set in another world, but not always.
There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why a fantasy novel cannot rise to the level of a "Classic" (and a lot of classics kinda suck for that matter, but that's a personal opinion). Robert Jordan set a certain standard for the wheel of time series and Cannoli feels that Brandon Sanderson fell short of this standard.
What you have here is not difference in what fantasy is and one person disregarding it in order to troll. What we have here is you having a different standard than another person. Honestly, I feel bad for your standard because I bet you miss out on a lot of depth by wanting your fantasy to be as shallow as Jersey Shore.
Don't get me wrong. Cannoli can and always will be an annoying troll. But he is not an annoying troll, pretentious, or unjustified in holding Wheel of Time to a higher standard than you. You just have low expectations and can't learn not to click Cannoli posts.

You are obviously very strongly investes in the genre and are able to derive a thorough gratification of your artistic tastes and good for you. I wish I had the same time and energy to invest in my entertainment / reading as I did in high school but unfortunately, I don't which is why I switched to "pop-corn" mode as far as books come and only try to approach sophisticated movies every now and then - still takes less time than reading. I have wanted to do a thorough re-read of WoT for ages but can't find the time to do it properly.
And no need to go as far as feeling sorry for me, I am an adult and assume responsibility for my literary / entertainment choices.

I have to say I agree, and if I come across as too harsh on B-Sand, it is entirely results-oriented

Are there really people who like Sanderson's WoT better than Jordan's?

A considered and mature response. Or some crude name-calling - read and find out which!

This is the stupidest thing I have ever read in my life. That B-Sand did not write.

No way tGS and ToM are the worst in the series. Not the best, but not the worst.
