But if Altara were to be secured under Tuon, there is no way Murandy or Ghealdan could stand for long, either, worsening Andor's position even further. This is probably what lead to the situation Aviendha saw in her vision of the possible future - the Seanchan pushing east, destroying the Black and White Tower, forcing the surviving Ashaman and Aes Sedai to scatter. War is inevitable and it really comes down to whether t'a'veren twisting will be needed to halt the Seanchan expansion or convert it into something less horrible. That's what is so insidious about the Seanchan - safety and security in exchange for pledging your allegiance seems like such a small thing but ultimately, at it's core, it's rot is even worse than the Black Ajah's manipulation of the Tower.
