Egwene already knows that Rand has support.
Egwene selfishly wants to be the one "guiding" Rand. Egwene should admit that Rand has guidance, just not the guidance she prefers (i.e. Rand collared with the male adam doing exactly what Egwene wants).
Everybody wants to control Rand, but that would lead to disaster. Only Rand knows how to defeat the Dark One because only Rand got the answer through the ter'angreal in Tear.
Edit: Also, only Rand can possibly figure out why the DO's prison seal didn't work b/c only he has access to LTT's thoughts. Rand already knows or will soon figure out that he needs a circle of women and men channelers to correctly seal the prison on the DO. If Egwene ever got control of Rand, and I'm talking about the type of control she and Elaida want over Rand (i.e. collared and doing whatever she says) it would end in complete disaster. Nobody except Rand could possibly reseal the prison on the DO.
