Questions:
1. When did you start reading WOT? Year and what were you doing in life?
Fall of 1991, I was working at a video store during my soph year of college and didn't know it was a series... I was so mad when I reached the end, I threw the book across the store and took out 3 copies of Problem Child. I'm still mad about it.
2. Where is your life now and where will it be in early 2012, when aMoL comes out?
I've since finished college, been through 6 major relationships, lived in 5 different major American cities, helped 4 people get elected to office, written legislation and led tech development teams in India. That's what I anticipate still doing next year. Strange to think my life has changed so much since then...
3. Will you pick up the book the first day it is out? If no, when will you?
I'll have it downloaded at midnight. That's another huge difference since '92. I'll still buy the hard cover too, to complete my set.
4. Will you read it as quickly as possible or linger with it since it is the end of an era (why/why not)?
I'll read it twice back to back. I'll fly through the first and linger during the second.
5. Where will you read the book, i.e., what is your go-to location?
Leaning against the building outside and chain smoking. In 2004, I swore to my friends and family that I would quit smoking when Wheel was finished. They're holding me to it, so I'll be getting in as many as I can before my quit date!
6. Do you think we have read the last of the WOT world or does Harriet have something up her sleeve for the future?
I think this will be the last of the original fiction material we see. We will continue to see various adaptations of already published material and I think we'll get an Encyclopedia of some kind that'll probably have some original material. Other than that kind of thing, I'd be surprised to see anything new.
