Others seem fine but then suddenly go insane (this happened with the young Ashaman that was with Min), while still others feel the insanity building such as the Ashaman with Nynaeve who knew that seeing Fades behind every corner was a mark of the taint but was of sound enough mind to recognize this was a deviation from rationality.
