I don't think so. The Companions were young and only 113 out of a few hundred thousand Aes Sedai men - Edit 2

The fact that we know the exact number of who belonged to the Companions was one hundred and thirteen indicates that if we were to take the proportions of the Aes Sedai as a whole, the vast majority of the male Aes Sedai were not among the Companions. So all we really know was that Lews Therin needed the strongest female Aes Sedai for his plan, but didn't necessarily need the strongest males. If we were to use some estimates with the amount of channelers during the Age of Legends being upwards of a few hundred thousand at least, it would indicate that the majority of the most powerful were most likely not members of the Companions. Especially since the Companions were noted as being young, so the older, more powerful and well trained male Aes Sedai were probably not represented in the group. Their relative youth actually would indicate the opposite - all things being equal, given their small number, most of them were probably not among the strongest in their peer groups because there just weren't enough compared to the overall population.

Basically we know that they were passionate and young (once again, keeping in mind that 'young' for AoL Aes Sedai could be up to one hundred years of age), but not if their group disproportionately consisted of powerful members. It actually seems like, based upon the three or four major debates raging in the Hall among Latra Posae's Fateful Concord, undecided Aes Sedai, Lews Therin's supporters who weren't Companions, the peace faction and etc that membership in this group depended on the fervor of your support for Lews' plan and not necessarily relative strength in saidin since that would have been moot if women gave them access to Linking, anyway.
