I expect inconsistencies between RJ and BS to be an ongoing issue as the next book gets digested by the fans, and as the final two books get released. But frankly, I'm a bit surprised that any WoT fan would be overly critical in this.
Inconsistencies are ripe throughout the entire series. Perrin at first can communicate wolves and wolfbrothers, then later he can only speak with wolves. The One Power and it's functionality are changed dramatically from tEotW, only reaching some normalcy in tSR. Tel'aran'rhiod goes through a similar metamorphosis, with some wonky uses in tDR. Both Egwene and Perrin seem to encounter Rand in the real world while traveling in the dream world...? What's Rand doing in TAR so often in that book? Why is he so crazy in that book? Darkhounds in tDR are killable by arrows, yet won't succomb to anything short of balefire in the later books, with no in-book explanation as to why. Lanfear travels with Rand and Aviendha for many weeks as Keille in tSR, then doesn't know who Aviendha is tFoH.
This is really a tip of the iceberg, and though RJ did address some of these, there are many others I'm sure I could find if I comb through the series more accutely.
I guess what I'm getting at is: in a book already so filled with faux pas's, character blunders, and plotholes, is it really fair to be too critical of the errors written by the new author?
As counterargument, I will state that it is good to see these criticisms to the extent that they shed light on unclear topics and disharmonious points, just as pointing out the mistakes in the earlier books is/was important.
However, to bring to question the validity of these last books themselves or to state that they are not "canon," in my opinion, is to go too far. As it is, BS does have access to RJ's notes, and as far as we know, the majority of the story is outlined, the major plot points known. BS is just taking us through the journey. If he makes mistakes along the way...? well, he's not the first one to do so.

That would be a great twist--- Elza could end up saving Rand from his own ability to kill a woman
