Why? After three thousand years the question should be 'why did the language only shift once?' One of the weakest aspects of the WoT universe.

I still like her in principle, but no one could like the Darth Vader-esq caricature BS turned her into.

Well, Ishy didn't really have a character, beyond 'shrieking villain', before. But Moridin is interesting.
