Well, ladies and gents, it's your turn: you are the DR, and you are a short time from TG either starting or from you officially initiating it. What's your idea for "winning" the Last Battle?
I don't know if this survey has shown up before. Since I'm putting up the question, I'll see if there are any boundaries to be set. The only definite answers we have on winning TG: Herid Fel believes the Pattern is "perfect" at some regular point in the Wheel's turning; RJ said that if you balefired the DO successfully, it would destroy everything; Rand is able to fight the DO better when he's working with more people (the other lead heroes, specifically); Rand can win TG if the North & East are as one, ditto the South & West, & ditto for both halves. I think that's pretty much it for official facts surrounding the Bore and Tarmon Gaidon. I don't think anyone even needs all these facts to come up with a plan, much less an idea.
For example, you might use Padan Fain as a "buffer" over which the Pattern can heal itself. Or Shaidar Haran starts taking over the bodies of everyone he comes across, so Rand and the Dark One make a deal not to fight so long as Shaidar Haran is stopped; Rand allows SH to take over his body, resulting in an explosion. Wait, that's dumb. Or maybe the Aiel and all the Tinkers need to sing in a circle while the Ogier shape a giant shield around SG; the whole time Egwene will calmly explain to Shaitan that she is both like him and yet better than him, and that he isn't really much of a malevolent anti-creator at all, until Shaitan just leaves for somewhere else.
I've been toying with the idea of pulling the Pattern together where the Bore is. That way, you're not touching the DO and allowing for a "counterstroke event," you're just messing with the Pattern. The DO might be "pushed out" that way.
What would you do?

What would you do?
The chief difficulty Alice found at first was in managing her flamingo.
How would you stop the DO?

It depends on if I was a hero or a villain; either way, I would have used the Choedan Kal.
