Trivial is in the eye of the beholder. RabidWombat Send a noteboard - 28/04/2011 09:52:52 PM
And it's not like he didn't ALREADY re-read the series for that reason.

Trivial is in the eye of the beholder. I like BS but his idea of trivial is completely different than RJ, IMO. You may prefer that BS writes the book to his own standards since you obviously prefer his standards. I for one, though am glad that BS wants to take the time to write it closer to RJs standards of what is trivial. I prefer RJs standards by a long shot. In the end, though, neither one of us will get what we want.

Is it just me, or is Sanderson's re-read of WoT taking an inordinate amount of time? - 25/04/2011 08:35:10 PM 2211 Views
I would prefer it if he re-read it 5 times. I don't mind waiting. - 25/04/2011 08:41:31 PM 1178 Views
Same - 26/04/2011 01:12:58 AM 1035 Views
I would love BS to get a better handle on the characters as well. - 26/04/2011 05:42:24 PM 1043 Views
My problems with the series have little or nothing to do with Sanderson. - 27/04/2011 10:50:15 PM 906 Views
Why should you care. Just stop reading the series. - 28/04/2011 09:45:17 PM 1025 Views
It's not like he's just reading for the hell of it. - 25/04/2011 09:31:18 PM 1237 Views
Then what the hell is Maria being employed for? *NM* - 27/04/2011 10:50:46 PM 471 Views
As a backup that he can go to when he can't take time to reread. - 27/04/2011 11:15:48 PM 934 Views
He probably doesn't think he can afford to skim; which bits are the trivial ones? - 26/04/2011 04:36:56 AM 969 Views
Sanderson of all people should know what bits are trivial by now - 27/04/2011 10:52:00 PM 812 Views
Maybe, but better safe than sorry. - 28/04/2011 03:28:19 PM 880 Views

One persons "skimmable parts" is another persons treasure. - 26/04/2011 06:02:35 PM 895 Views
Oh, I don't mind how much time he spends. - 27/04/2011 05:07:42 AM 825 Views
I would guess that he's doing this. - 26/04/2011 06:06:42 PM 970 Views
It'd be interesting to see his desk - 27/04/2011 05:10:28 AM 933 Views

I prefer him to complete his re-read and have enough time for a good series of round(s) for editing - 26/04/2011 05:06:22 PM 1092 Views
