I cant recall off the top of my head, but does anybody know where the portal stones came from? Do they pre-date the age of legends? were they created by AS? Do they pre-date the Aiel Ter'angreal?
In the age of legends, if the portal stones were rather already existing, ancient objects with unknown origins that the AS studied and from that study, created ter'angreal; i'm kinda frustrated--because by comparison 3rd Age AS are extremely conservative in studying objects of the power/experimenting with the OP.
Thoughts?
