Just one more incident to help Egwene grow up. Egwene's fist impression of Berelain is pretty negative. Egwene thinks of Berelain as a lightskirt.

Egwene grew up in a village where the folks didn't flaunt their sexuality. If my foggy memory is correct there was a story of Nynaeve finding two Edmond Fielders making out behind a barn. The couple were punished and married off very quickly. You just didn't have sex before you were married.

Berelain wears revealing dresses, flirts with any male to get her way, and is way to forward. Not the kind of hehavior that Egwene expects or respects.

Outside of Cairhein the WO's treat Berelain with respect. Egwene respects, and wants approval from Amys, Bair, and Melaine. Egwene will start to set aside her predispositons of people who are culturally different, and learn to see people for who they really are.

Egwene has a long way to go.
