It had the opposite effect for me. I found Brandon's depiction of Egwene's and the WO's skills too underwhelming and not "in a league of the own" the way Jordan had built them up to be. He made the BA too powerful in TAR by letting them channel so much when they shouldn't have been able to - all of the foes but Mesaana should have been ridiculously outclassed by Egwene and the WO, forcing Mesaana to find something more clever fast), though the final scene between Mesaana and Egwene is more satisfying (though Egwene speaking her realisations aloud to Mesaana instead of simply striking without a word really was at best "poetic license" in my book).
